I appreciate all the feedback and comments on my photography on this blog and the friends I have made through it. I have not posted for some time now and just wanted to let everyone know I will be back but it’s just been a hectic 6 months or so. I hate to see my camera gathering dust but it’s just one of those things.
I will be back with some new shots hopefully by the end of the month.
Selling off some of my older equipment via eBay. However, if you are interested drop me a message and we can arrange a private sale.
Thanks and if possible could you share this post a little.
I really like the concept, just not the execution of it.
Same sheep pen as before but a different angle. I kept the tree in this shot as I felt it would lend itself nicely to the black and white shot. Whats your thoughts?
At Chatsworth House lies this strange building at the side of the entrance. It seems to be used as a sheep pen. Was this its original purpose or did it simply become one over time?
I have simply sharpened up the shot and gave it a cooling filter. I have also added the black and white version in which I have pushed for a more creepy, abandoned sort of feel.
This little guy was really friendly. He was so close he almost let me pet him lol. I love the black and white conversion of this shot as the detail that shows up in his beak is fantastic. It almost looks like another face in his beak.
I’m currently in the process of setting up a new website and will hopefully transfer this blog (or create a new one) to the new domain. Does anyone have a recommendation on web hosting?
Also I have started printing and mounting some of my prints (just for the sake of it to be honest), as I hate to think that all my pictures are left on a hard drive to fade away to a distant memory.
I use my epson picturemate 500 for the family 6×4 snaps and for trying out some of my edited ones.
I am looking for a new epson photo printer I am not particular about if it is a3 or not but really looking for a 8 colour as I do a lot of black and white printing.
Any recommendations for which printer I should invest in.
Also does anyone have any recommendations on where to get mounting frames inn bulk from as I am currently buying from eBay.
Thanks for the help.
Just a quick black and white conversion. Thinking of bringing through the colour of the crest or possibly the stone that forms the entrance.
I am not sure yet but more work will go into this shot over time.
Upon climbing the memorial at the top there is a beacon light. The view from the top of the stand is a great one.
I don’t have many shots from the top as I was testing out a new lens and the shots were not as good as I was hoping.
I highly recommend a visit to this unique memorial, if you are ever in the area.
All the details, along with some more pictures can be found here
Had a long overdue family day out. This is a shot of the war memorial at Crich Stand. I have converted to clack and white and pumped up the black in the sky and reduced it slightly on the path and grass.
Still a bit more work to do on this shot but its been a while since I have uploaded anything so here is the stage 1.
Also I have added a quick touch up/old fashioned version as well (been playing around with lightroom).
